Opel is a proud supporter of GAA Games in Ireland from grassroots to All-Star levels and is the Official Car Partner of the GAA and GPA.

Since 2006 Opel have supported Gaelic players as sponsor to the All-Star Awards and Opel Player of the Month, some of the most prestigious awards in Irish sport.

Throughout the season the Opel Player of the Month is awarded to the best performance in Hurling and Football on a monthly basis. In November each year, All-Stars are then awarded to the best 15 playing positions in Gaelic Football and Hurling. Additionally one player in per code is selected as Player of the Year. As part of the accolade, these GAA Elite partake in the GAA GPA All-Stars tour overseas which aims promote Gaelic games abroad.

How can you win?

So if you’ve ever dreamt of tackling like Tyrrell or carrying like Cooper, now’s your chance. There’s two easy ways to enter to win these once in a lifetime experiences.

 

1. Pick up a copy of the Sunday World newspaper from the 6th to 27th September 2015 and answer a simple question in the sports section and post in your entry.

2. Enter online at sundayworld.com/competitions from the 7th September 2015. Share the competition online and a bonus point will be awarded to you each time a friend enters correctly.

The GAA Club in each county that has the highest number points by entering online or in the Sunday World paper will win the training session for their club.

The individual who has most points earned, through online and print entries will win the VIP table at the All-Star awards on the 6th November PLUS the trip for two to Austin, Texas USA from the 10th to 15th December 2015.

Competition closes on the 2nd October at 12 Midnight. Winners will be announced on the 12th October 2015.
